Abdul Sattar Edhi was a renowned humanitarian, philanthropist, and ascetic who founded the Edhi Foundation, which runs the world’s largest volunteer ambulance network, along with various homeless shelters, animal shelters, rehabilitation centers, and orphanages across Pakistan. He was born on February 28, 1928, in Bantva, India, and died on July 8, 2016, in Karachi.
